James Blunt went back to his roots and released his album "Once Upon A Mind" on 25. October 2019. After flirting with electronic sounds on his last album "The Afterlove", James returns to what he masters like no one else on his new album: writing timeless songs that touch both heart and mind. Already in September 2019 the first single "Cold" was released - a lively, bubbly song about love. It is precisely this effervescence of "Cold" that also characterizes the remaining ten songs on "Once Upon A Mind", his sixth studio album in total. It is an album rich in highlights, such as the poignant ballad "Monsters", the pop swagger "5 Miles" or the country-coloured "Halfway".
The whole work is infused with warmth and a strong feeling of personality. "I think this is the most honest album I've ever made," says James Blunt. " ´Back To Bedlam' was similar in that I had written about my life experiences at the time and they came together on my debut. And also, every song on this album represents something that I'm going through or have gone through in recent times. It's a very personal album and I'm proud to share it with the world."
The Brit released said debut album "Back To Bedlam" - long a classic - in the fall of 2004, and a little later the single "You're Beautiful" became a worldwide smash hit.
To date James Blunt has sold over 24 million albums, all five reached at least the top ten in Germany, two climbed to number one. Internationally he was allowed to collect about 170 platinum records.
He also shines with wit and charm on his highly entertaining Twitter account. And on Facebook he is also able to entertain his countless fans. And of course he also proves wonderful entertainer qualities on stage. His shows are musically real highlights, but it's only through the warmth, the sympathy and the humour that the singer radiates that they become such special experiences.
On 11. April 2022 James Blunt will come to Austria to the Wiener Stadthalle with his new songs and old hits.
